10.1.4 Library Crashing when updating to 10.2.1

So every time I try to open my old library, FCP asks to update it to 10.2.1.

But it will get maybe 2 projects in to the update process and FCPX will crash/stop responding.

The only way to stop it is to force quit.

I've tried trashing preferences but I still can't get my library to update/open.

Anyone have a fix for this?
