Buying the MacBook Pro Right Now?

I am currently a rising senior in high school. I wanted to buy a MacBook Pro before school starts in August, but I started to question myself.

Won't there be new ones coming out soon later in the year? That would mean that the MacBook Pro would not only be cheaper, but also there could be a new and better one for a similar price.

Should I buy one in August, or is it best that I wait? I want to use it all throughout college and at least use it in high school my last year so I can get used to it before college.

Plus, is it possible that refurbished ones are worse than new ones? I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to use it for 5 years because it isn't in "perfect" condition!

I Purchased my first generation MacBook Pro in 2006. It was in perfect condition when it arrived from Apple, and still works perfectly fine today.

Apple-refurbished units come with a 1-year warranty (same as new), and AppleCare makes it the same as new. You are not paying for the latest, but the previous 6-12 month models are not obsolete. You do not pay the sticker price for the latest.
