I need help to set preferences in Safari on Mac to clear history browsing but not logging out of my homepage and gmail acount. I can not find the settings.
Also when I clear my history does it clear my browser cache?

From your Safari menu bar click History > Show History then remove all history items but your home page and gnmail account.
No. Deleting history does not empty the cache. That requires deleting all website data in Safari > Preferences > Privacy.
You can go to Safari/Preferences/Advanced and enable the Develop menu. From that menu you can then select Empty Caches.
Sorry for reasking this question again Carol. I been so overloaded with work and family that I still did not resolve clear history issue. i just keep manually reentering my gmail password after clearing. But I would like to try this again. The Clear history options only provides a list that says all history, history in last hour or today. There use to be an area in preference to exclude sign in but after 10. whatever that option seems to be missing.
