My iPhone 6 64G keeps freezing up and/or closing apps after freezing up. What can I do to fix it?

I have a new iPhone 6, 64GB, White/silver purchased through Verizon last week. I activated and restored from backup of old iPhone5. my screen continuously freezes and then closes apps. What can I do to fix this?
