Is audio calling in ipod touch like calling in a normal phone?
Des audio calling in ipod touch or any device like calling in a normal phone, or is it like in speaker in terms of a regular phone?

Both or either depending upon your view. You can use the speaker and mic built into the iPod so it acts like a speaker phone. You can also use headphones with a a mic and then it is really acts like a phone.
