Will my uprade be void if I get a replacement phone

i called apple and a representative told me since my iPhone 6 has bent in a lifeproof case and since I still am in my limited warranty apple will more than likely give me a replacement phone for free but I am planning on getting the next newest phone as soon as it comes out and i was wondering will that mess my uprade eligibility up?
