I have been unable to download songs, podcasts and subscribe to apple music. What could be wrong

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4

It will depend upon what you mean 'unable to download' - what happens when you try to download something, if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?

If this is on your iPhone then what have you tried to see if it it fixes it e.g.

- logging out (tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and back into the account

- disconnecting and reconnecting to your network

- closing the store apps via the phone's taskbar

- soft-reset of the phone (press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, ignoring the red slider, after which the Apple logo should appear and it should reboot).
