I'm on a mini with version 10.10.4. I downloaded LibreOffice. When I try to open it, it says the image cannot be opened, the image is not recognized. Any suggestions?

That's the same page that I originally used. But, I deleted everything that I originally tried and downloaded it again from this page you sent. I got a little further. I have a folder on my desktop that says LibreOffice SDK. Now, I don't know how to install it from there.
Go to Libreoffice dot org. There is a green download target on the landing page. Click that, and it will take you to the next page where it says Main Installer. Click that green download box. This is what I do every time that I need the latest version.
After you drag/drop into Applications, and launch it for the first time, you will see some verification, and then a dialog that offers the Open button. Click that. It is a one-time button that you acknowledge the application did not come from the OS X App Store. You won't see it again, until you download another update of LibreOffice.
