Is there a foot switch / pedal available to start & stop GarageBand?

I am in a 3-piece band - steel pan, guitar and bass. We typically track some light percussion and other effects in GarageBand then play along with them on my iPad during our shows. We would love to add the flexibility of being able to start and stop the tracks with a foot switch - does anything like this exist?
