Hey hey,
Is it just me or did the option to open a new safari tab with your favorite sites in a grid overview just disappear? On my Macbook I see the option to Open favorites, on my iMac I only see the option for Top Sites, Homepage, Empty Page, Same Page.
Any help would be appreciated.

Isn't Top Sites where you keep your favorites? If not, where did you previously have your favorites set?
When you open a new tab, you can choose between Favorites and Top Sites.
Click the Star button at the top right corner to get Favorites.
Click dots button at the top right corner to get Top Sites.
This will change the "New tab opens with:" setting shown.
