My wife started Yosemite download then stopped it.. Now I have a partial yosemite download and would like to delete it and start with a fresh download..
I'm unable to find this partial DL on my MBP (mid 09) running Maverick 10.9.5 (up to date) any help in finding it's location and deleting it would be greatly appreciated.

It should be in your Applications folder labeled Install OS X Yosemite. Why not resume the download to save time?

That's what I wanted to do but thought since this partial DL was several months old.. If i'm not mistaken there has been a few updates or more for Yosemite. I wanted a fresh DL with the updates included to make sure I have no problem..
