how can I have 3 or more layers of video in iMovie ?

In iMovie (10.0.9) how can I have 3 or more layers of video in iMovie. Think of it as a double picture-in-picture look or a quad split look of a security monitor. Any one have a workaround that doesn't involve exporting a rendered quicktime each time I edit a layer.
