turn on my iMac after a long time

I tried to turn my iMac after a long period of inactivity (about one year) but nothing happens. The imac was for the whole period on the desk off and not connected to the power supply. Does anyone have any suggestion?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

The PRAM battery has likely died. Take the machine in for service at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider and have it checked and if necessary replaced. If you don't know of any AASPs in your area, please click https://locate.apple.com/country to begin finding one.
