You need to restart the computer with the disk in the drive and the C or Option key held down, and erase or repartition the internal drive.

If you want to try to 'fix' Yosemite, see below.
iPhoto 9.6.1 if you didn't update before OS X 10.10.3
Activity Monitor - Mavericks also Yosemite

Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.
Thanks for the reply, after i run the disk and revert to snow leopard will it need updating or will it do it by its self over time?
I suggest that you run the Snow Leopard combo update after installation:

Ciao.
Finally trying remove yosemite, I selected mac hd and erased Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
I attempted to reload snow leopard but stops half way with a yellow triangle through the mac hd symbol
Saying at least 998.68 gb free
999.35 gb total
I have done something wrong or need to do something else
When erasing what security level did i need?
Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.
reinstall snow leopard
