How do you recover photos deleted from iPhoto and are no longer in the trash?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

You restore your backup from before you deleted them

 

When you delete a photo in iPhoto (you posted in the Photos for Mac forum which is a totally different program) it is moved to the iphoto trash and can be recovered form there - when you empty the iphoto trash the photos are moved to the  system trash and con be recovered from there - once you empty the system trash your backup is the only place they exist
