How do I fix the side bar width?

I recently updated my OS to El-Capital public beta version 10.11. However, in my Finder window, my side bar is to narrow and I cannot read the names of all my folders and tags. So every time I open the Finder window, I have to drag the side bar to view all my folders. Is there a way to keep this width fixed so that I don't have to drag it out every time? I didn't have this problem with my previous version of OS.
