game lag in boot camp

mbp late 2011 intel core i5 2435m 4gb ram intel hd 3000 i installed windows 8.1 through boot camp and started to play prototype (2009) well at first it started normally but after some time it started to lag in a very awkward way well it run smooth for 2 sec then a 1 sec pause can anyone help
