my iphone 6 doesn't ring on long distance calls

My Iphone 6 phone doesn't ring when I received certain long-distance calls. It rings fine for local calls. I have no one blocked, no DoNotDisturb, ringtone is loud, phone is not muted or turned down. Why don't I get certain calls? I get voicemails 20 minutes later.
