Safari in Yosemite sometimes shows a black bar on the bottom in full screen mode (a type of misalignment). How to fix?

Problem:

Sometimes when I take a page to full screen mode in Safari, it displays it in full screen mode but with a blacked out portion in the bottom of the screen. If I then try to take it out of full screen mode, it displays it with the top most part of the screen under the default apple menu bar at the top.

It seems to be some kind of display bug when going in and out of full screen mode not aligning properly with the rest of the system.

System:

- Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.4

- Safari

Please let me know if you know the solution to this issue. Thank you in advance for your response.

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Then delete the cache.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

Here is the screenshot. As you can see it is in full screen mode (not cropped). The Safari menu bar eats up some of the web content (see how Store, or Music or the Apple logo are only displaying half-way than normal?), And...

User uploaded file

Here at the bottom there is a black bar as a difference between what Safari shows and the display resolution projected by Yosemite.

Thanks!
