I have had my IPad Air 2 for around six months, and it is suddenly not charging unless the charger is pushed hard into the charge port. The IPad is in great condition, and would love to be able to solve this issue.

The charger is normally pushed into a wall outlet. Please explain exactly what you mean by "...unless the charger is pushed hard into the charge port."
Are you talking about plugging the charger into the wall outlet? Or are you having problems connecting the cable to either the iPad or the charger?
He means plugging it into the iPad. If you had the charger for 6 months then the wires are probably messed up. the same thing happened to me numerous times. Apple chargers are not the sturdiest
The charger works fine, i use it on my phone and never have an issue. The problem is happening with the connection of my iPad to the charger. When i plug my iPad into the charger, it doesn't say its charging unless i hold the charger into the iPad at an angle that puts pressure on the iPad and charger itself.
Either the cable is bad or there is a problem with the port on your iPad. Try a different cable. If you are still having problems make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your iPad examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. Be sure to back up your device before taking or sending it to Apple.
Try a different cable, a different outlet and a different charger. I have found the cable is the first thing to wear out.
Off brand USB chargers also wear out fast.
TTry turning the brightness down, closing all your apps and putting it on flight mode.
if that doesn't work, ensure you e plugged it in to a wall
