Cannot get my email, because "the server stopped responding"

I have a MacPro

OSX (10.9.5) 24GHz, Intel Core i7.

Memory 8GB 1333 MHZ DDR3,


I cannot retrieve my email on my computer and iPad ( I use Juno for email) because "the server stopped responding." I am able to get Juno email on my iPhone, however. My internet is working because I am able to go to other sites, such as FB and gmail. I have tried down loading the latest updates, restarting and deleting cookies. So far nothing works. What is the solution?
