When you launch Safari, no, the "search engine" does not appear. Use the text field at the very top to type you search term. As fro the "bar of Favorites" that would depend on how you have the bookmarks set up.
This may help:
I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say the default search engine does not appear. There is no place for it to appear, it just uses the default when you search in the address bar. As far as bookmarks, they appear when you tap on the bookmark icon. If you are referring to something different, please explain better what you are looking at and what you are expecting.
THanks.
SOrry for my English.
when I launch Safari I get a white page instead of the Google's page. As far as the bookmarks I effectively get them by tapping the icon, but the bar Favorites does not appear on the top of the page.
All the settings of Safari seem correct ( search engine is on Google.be and Favorites is on).
Safari on the iOS device does not have a "home page" as you may be used to on a computer. Safari will open to the last page that was viewed, unless you force close it, and it will open to a blank page. The Favorites bar does not display on the top of the page either. You access bookmarks the way that you did.
Thanks ChrisJ.
Till this morning, when I launched Safari, I got directly the Google's page without having to tap the bookmark Google. Now I get a blank page.
