Remote app on my iPhone only shows music available offline in iTunes on my Mac

I use the iTunes Remote app on my iPhone to control iTunes on my Mac. 99% of my music is in iCloud / iTunes Match (or whatever they call it these days), only a few songs are held locally on the Mac.

I just noticed this morning that the remote app will now only list music that is available offline in iTunes. I think this has happened recently, I guess when I last updated iTunes. Previously I could use the Remote app to instruct iTunes to play any songs in my library irrespective of whether the existed locally or in the cloud.

Anyone know a way around this? Is this a bug?
