i never downloaded anything, looking for websites that had free movies

It is a scam, do not interact with the web site, or call any number presented.
Force quit Safari, then restart Safari while holding the shift key.
Stay away from sites that promise FREE downloads of videos and such.

Pop ups are due to adware and malware.
Force quit Safari using the Command + Option + Esc keyboard shortcut.

Make sure Mac App Store and identified developers is selected in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
