Jul 29, 2015 8:05 PM in response to Jim Mac37by LarryHN,★HelpfulYou can not "get" photos to sort any differently - the are are no options today - there will be this fall with the release of El Captain - http://www.apple.com/osx/elcapitan-preview/?cid=wwa-us-kwg-mac-com
But basically Photos (years/collections/moments) is sorted by time & date - is there possibly a issue with on or more camera's date/time? If so that can be corrected using the Edit menu ==> adjust time and date command

Jul 29, 2015 11:06 PM in response to LarryHNby Jim Mac37,A bit more checking done.
The Album 'All Photos' has a sequence of the Sony (DSC) photos followed by the 'Clip' videos then the Canon (IMG) photos. For example:
the sequence at the end of the DSC photos is that they end on 25 June 2015
next are the Clips, all on 21 June
then the IMG photos starting on 5 June 2015.
Another Album 'Bristol' has a sequence of a DSC photo on 26 June at 5:56 am following an IMG at 8:58 am on the same day.
I am confused.

Albums are only under the albums section and within an album are sorted by photo date - there are no albums in either Photos or all Photos
You are confusing the different views and intermixing them
