Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have my i pod touch telling me to call some 800 number not apple. It says my device may have adware or spyware virus cannot get rid of it and believe it is a scam.

It is a scam. Very doubtful any malware was installed.
Force Restart your iPod > Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Also clear your history and website data in Settings>>Safari.

It is. To fix it read Phony "tech support" / "ransomware" popups and web pages.
