apple tv television app activation

i was able to activate HBO go sometime ago but I'm trying to activate USA and/or ShowTime on my apple tv and it doesn't work. I don't think it's either provider, or my cable provider (by the fact that nothing can be activated)... it must have to do with apple tv itself....

what in the world is going on ?

fyi - i'm using att uverse, i can stream movies, rent movies, watch hbo go, i just can't activate anything else... i've even tried different way to activate (different devices and notebooks)....

we are devolving.....

In order to activate a channel with your provider, the apple tv will give you a webpage to visit and an activation code. You visit the webpage on a computer, choose your provider, then input the code. If you visit the webpage and your provider is not listed, that means those channels are not available to be linked in your apple tv.

Of course you are correct, but if the exchange of data fails between the network and Apple, it doesn't work. I have access to ShowTime with my ATT uverse subscription, yet I am unable to activate the app, same for USA Networks....

Ok I see.... I'm not sure if you are trying to do it on your phone, but I found that I had to use a computer to get some of them to work. For some reason some sites don't like the mobile browser.
