Cannot edit song info after iTunes update(s)

I am running iTunes 12.2.1.16 and I cannot edit any track info. Clicking in the main pane no longer works and if I "Get Info" then all the information is greyed out an unable to be edited. Has one of the recent updates added some kind of lock that needs to be unlocked? I cannot find anything obvious in preferences.
