Mini can't burn music CD

Perhaps to see if a quality lens cleaner may help, could be worth the effort.

Or try an external optical drive (equal to a superdrive capability) just in case

the original built-in one may be failing. OWC macsales has a few replacement

items for some models of Mini. However be watchful of specs since some may

require the use of additional third-party software to be able to burn media.

Not sure if any kind of hardware re-set may be of help in this matter; since the

symptom suggests a failing optical drive or maybe a dusty lens; or perhaps it

does not like the media you've chosen.

Which software are you using to record optical media, & what Mini + OS is in it? 😐

Try another brand of CD.

The optical drive in my 2009 Mini failed over two years ago.
