Issues with installing Windows 10 on Macbook Pro 2011 OS Mavericks

So I was trying to figure out a way to install this and I couldn't come to any logical conclusions so I ended up going to Boot Camp Assistant and erasing my Windows 7 Pro from my MacBook. Well now when I go through the Boot Camp Assistant, it says it doesn't support anything higher than Windows 8!? Also I can't get it to download the Boot Camp support from Microsoft onto a formatted USB Fat32? It just freezes half-way and I have to cancel it.

Any way I can remedy this!?

Please re-install W7 on your Mac. Once it is fully installed and configured and BC drivers are installed, M$ servers will notify you to get W10 in the SystemTray, or you can use Media Creation Tool to get the update.

Same problem with Media creation tool. When I try to update I get a missing drivers message. I tried searching bootcamp and the drivers on the USB that were created for the Win 7 installation but none were found.

I did have the W7 Windows 10 notification but it wouldn't upgrade my PC. Doesn't matter now because I lost the CD-key as it was in an email on my university address which was deleted after I left college so I can't retain it. I bought it digitally through MS back 2011.

You can use BelArc Advisor to try and retrieve the key from the installed machine. http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html .

Not sure how this is going to help me since I no longer have windows and I cannot find the mac version for that software...?

Sorry, thanks for the help Loner T. I ended up just removing Windows entirely. Going to just have to save for another laptop.

pls am having problems installing win10 from win 8 from the extracted iso file stop installing at around 30-40% of its installation dont want to format my current windows os . pls any help
