Safari doesn't recognize new top-level domains (TLD's)

Safari 7.1.7 (9537.85.16.12) running on OS 10.9.5 will not display web sites with .help endings! This is a serious problem for anyone (such as myself) who has purchased any of the new top-level domains with such endings.

Instead Safari treats my domain names as if they are Google searches, displaying some of my competitors instead of my web sites!

At first I thought my registrar or hosting company was to blame. The I noticed this problem does not exist in Firefox, Chrome, or Maxthon. Only Safari does this.

On another forum, someone reported that if a user first enters: http:// and then the domain name Safari will display the web site. However, these days people do not type http:// because they no longer have to.

The prior version of Safari for Mavericks—7.3.x—did not have this bug.

This is serious stuff that Apple should fix right away!

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), 4 hd's, SSD boot volume, 10 gb RAM
