Can't delete .dmg from hard drive

When scanning with Sophos anti-virus, this LG bd670 manual.dmg pops up as the only 'threat" to my computer.

I tried to clean up with Sophos, but it failed, then tried to delete from the finder, and got "The operation can’t be completed because backup items can’t be modified."

Running 10.10.4 (14E46), but had the same problem with Mavericks.

Suggestions?

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), 5,1

The file is in a Time Machine snapshot. Fortunately, Time Machine files are protected from deletion by junk software such as "Sophos."

Remove the Sophos product by following the instructions on this page, and also this one, if applicable. If you have a different version, the procedure may be different.

Never install any commercial "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" software again.
