updated to itunes 12.2.1 and now my iphone driver won't work

Yesterday I updated iTunes to 12.2.1 and now my computer isn't recognizing my iPhone 6 when I plug it in. I've tried using two different cables so thought I'd investigate further. I looked at the phone under hardware and it says there is an error with the driver and it's giving me a ' Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)' error.

I've tried to manually search for and update the driver from the itunes folder but it's still not working. I was wondering if it was a problem with the new update as suggested in the error message and if there is any way I can fix it?
