I have problem with battery charging. I have a iPhone 5s 16G with IOS 8.4
It takes too much time from about 70% to 100% something around 2 to 3 hours, however it rapidly charges from 1% to 60%
iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4

It is not unusual for the final bit of charging to take longer, it takes more work to top up a battery than to fill an empty battery. If that bothers you, try a different charger and see if that makes a difference, take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test the iPhone to see if there is a problem.

That is by design. It charges at 1 amp until it reaches 70%, then slows down the charging rate gradually until it stops charging completely at 100%. It does this to avoid overcharging the battery.
Thanks for your reply. It is about one month that I have this problem. Before, my iPhone had been charged from 1% to 100% in 2.5 to 3 hours but now it is charging around 4.5 to 5 hours.
would you please tell me how many hour is normal for charging an iPhone?
Thanks
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately there is no official Apple store in my country.
From such low percentages as you quote, it is quite normal to take at least 4-5 hours.
Also note that it is not wise to deplete the battery to such low levels.
Are you charging with the USB wall adapter or your computer? The wall adapter will be about twice as fast as a computer. I don't really pay much attention to charging rate, because I charge the phone overnight, every night.
I have installed an application named Battery Doctor to control my charging process, however I think that this application is not practical.
would you please suggest me some methods to control my charging process and battery life. By the way, my cellular is always on.
Ignore any App that says it can do a "Better" job of charging your battery. They are worse than useless. Charge at any time, for any amount of time. Do not continually run the battery to low levels. Other than that, just enjoy the phone and ignore the urge to micro-manage battery charging.
Get rid of Battery Doctor. It causes more problems than it solves. iOS does an excellent job of battery management on its own.
You don't need to do anything to control your charging process and battery life. The built in charging circuit does a better job than any 3rd party app (battery doctor especially). Charge your phone when you want to, and, as I suggested earlier, charge the phone overnight while you sleep. That has the added advantage that you can turn on iCloud backup and it will back up your phone every night. It must be connected to power and WiFi for iCloud backup to work.
You should NOT routinely run the battery all the way down; that will shorten its life. It's OK occasionally if it gets low, but you should not make a habit of it.
