My numbers pop up msg : spreadsheet can't be imported in iPhone 6plus

What is the source of the spreadsheet (e.g. PC Excel 2013, LibreOffice Calc, Numbers '09 v2.3, Numbers v3.5)?

thank you VikingOSX, I can't open my old spreadsheet in my phone 6 plus, it pop up a msg say: spreadsheet can't be imported. the document was created with an unsupported application version.
Then the spreadsheet is not going to open on your iPhone 6. Open it on Mac OS X in something that can open Microsoft or Numbers spreadsheet format.
