Ipad 1 problem its on but the screen is black

does anyone know how to fix this i kinda want to use my ipad 1

iPad, iOS 5.1.1, Black screen

A forced restart may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

No content is affected by this procedure.
