Airdrop doesn't transfer anything between iPhone and Mac

Hello there.

After months of test, attempts, a number of restores, restarts, re-installations and voodoo magics I said stop.

I'm very disappointed to never, never been able to transfer any pict from my iPhone (i have 4 iPhones) to my MacBook Air Mid-2013.

So every time I need to send quickly a picture I've to use camera, pull out the SD card, plug-in the usb reader and copy the file to the desktop.

No, I do not want use iCloud, nor send the image thru message or any kind of image (garbage) collector: I'm just asking a reliable way to transfer the image from the iDevice to my Mac.

No hassles, no issue. Simple.

For me Airdrop is Another Trick T hat Simply Doesn't Work.

A disappointed senior (from OS 6.0.4) Apple user.
