Help I've lost all my contacts since installing windows 10.

AAfter updating my laptop to windows 10 last night all my contacts have vanished. I now have my sons contact list!! I know they are still in iTunes as I backed up the other day. I have tried to restore my phone and after I can see the contacts but seconds later they disappear! What's going on and how can I get them back? Any help would be appreciated.
