- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I Can't use it at all it won't even come up saying slide to turn of and when it dose I chat slide it to turn off but can it be fixed
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Depending upon model and capacity it may be better ot just pitch it and get a replacement.
Apple will give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one.
I Have I pod 5 and will the replacement be free anyway but can they repair 5
If covered under warranty (the iPod comes with a one-year warranty) and not abused like dropped, Apple will exchange it at no cost.
Otherwise the exchange price is $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs
