I have an album in Photos that I want to share using iCloud Photos. All of the pictures have already been uploaded to iCloud Photos, so I don't want to upload them all again. If I share the album from Photos, will that upload all of the photos again, or will the fact that the photos have been uploaded already be recognized?
When you share an album from Photos as a Shared album, the photos will be uploaded again. Shared albums are using a different part of iCloud than your iCloud Photo Library. Shared albums do not count against your iCloud Storage, and they do not hold the photos at the original resolution. They will be reduced in pixel size.
Thank you...I was reluctant to do that, since my originals are pretty decently sized. I'll start sharing albums.
