Start message sent on patch change to Arturia's spark ALWAYS

So I am using Arturia's Spark but I am running into the issue that with every patch change I make, MainStage sends a start message to Spark. I have already done the stander preference changes and that Hasn't helped. I use MainStage as my main live rig and need to use Spark but as of now I cannot do that. HELP!
