Pages does not recognize yosemite default printer setting

Machine: Macbook Pro

OSX: Yosemite

Pages: 5.5.3

Printers: Epson XP400 & Print Master 225

I have gone to system preferences to make the XP400 printer the default printer. When I open pages and try to print a document, the PM225 printer is alway the printer to appear as the default. Just what in the **** do I have to do to change this so the XP400 comes up as the desired printer???? Anyone?

Pages has nothing to do with recognizing your printer.

In the File > Print menu, set your desired printer using the printer selection. Configure your target printer settings in the Print dialog the way that you would normally use them. Then, back to the Presets selector. Choose Save Current Settings as Preset…Only This Printer. Give the setting name something meaningful. Then set the Presets selection back to Default Settings.
