I want to burn my iMovie to a dvd and see it on tv. What disk do I use?

I've made a movie on iMovie. Now, I want to finalize it and then burn it to a disc to that I can watch it using a DVR, and see it on tv. What type of disc do I use to burn...DVR + or DVR -

iMovie 10, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Either will do the job, but some older DVD players seem to dislike homemade DVD+ media.

Don't use cheap media: try to find Verbatim or Maxell DVD-R, and use a slow burn speed such as 2x or 4x for maximum quality.

I presume you are using iDVD to create the video DVD?
