Do you have the ability to backup, erase the internal drive and restore from backup?
I do not have my time machine accessible at the moment and I don't have a complete backup so I was trying to avoid that at all costs.
Try the same command but use 0g instead of 499g.
Can you run BCA and try to Restore the disk to a single visible partition?
Can you post the output of diskutil list ?
disk4 is a disk image, not a physical disk. Did you test with 0g?
So what does that mean exactly? I still don't know how to get this 101GB back that I lost and so I can try partitioning again:(
Test the resizeVolume with 0g.
1. Disable FileVault.
2. Revert the CS volume to JHFS+ using diskutil cs revert .
3. Resize Macintosh HD using Disk Utility.
4. Use BCA to partition.
