My iphoto crashed and lost 7000 photos.
My iphoto crashed and lost 7000 photos. It's always been problematic, despite several trips to the genius bar. How can I retrieve my photos? And what should I use instead of iphoto?

iPhoto crashing shouldn't cause the loss of your photos. Your photos should be in the iPhotos library file (actually a folder) in your Pictures folder inside your Username folder.
Why are using OS X 10.7.3? It was at minimum updated to 10.7.5 five years ago.
What version of OS X are you actually running?
What version of iPhoto were you using?
