iPad Mini 3 home button not working but touch ID is?

my iPad Mini 3's home button isnt working, but... my touch id for it is...? I've already attempted all of the fixes said by the guides, such as the rotation while home button down, and power button with home button down but not shutting it off, and both power and home hard reset.

Anyone know what my iPads deal is?

I have the default warranty that's for a year, would apple repair it?

would it cost money to get it repaired?

Everything else is fine on it. It has a smalllllll crack in the glass in the corner which I expect that itself will not be repaired of course due to warranty does not cover things that are of users error.

though, due to the home button for iPad Mini 3 is unique to its logic board will they replace the logic board + home button to get touch ID fixed? Or do their home buttons Touch ID work for any iPad Mini 3?

Thank you Ethan.
