Mid 2011 iMAC
Running very hot and slow any suggestions on what I can do or what is happening?
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

You could have a hardware issue or simply a run away process using up all of your computers resources but without more information it's impossible to even take a guess. Download and run EtreCheck and post it's result here and you'll get plenty of suggestions. http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck
Be wary of internet strangers who may come on here and instruct you to run terminal commands that you may not understand.
