Rubber feet for new MacBook Pro slipping

I recently purchased a 15-inch MacBook Pro. Right out of the box I noticed that the rubber feet on the bottom of the case slip on hard surfaces. It is difficult to open the lid without grabbing the back of the laptop because it slides away. It has become a two-handed operation each time I open my laptop. In addition, I'm concerned that it might slip in other situations which could lead to a drop or damage. Are there any replacements for these feet that have a better grip or rubber on therm?

Instead of trying to peel off the feet, I would probably look for something you could adhere to them that would provide better grip on the surface you are using it on.

I suppose Apple won't have different versions - but it would be great to have silicone type rubber that has better grip. I might consider coating them with something, it makes me nervous that it will come off on the surface...

Just go to the hardware store and find some rubber tape or something similar you can just stick on there.
