Hi

To erase your Apple Watch in order to be able to pair it with your replacement iPhone:

On your Apple Watch, go to: Home screen (via a single press on the Digital Crown) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

Then pair it to your iPhone via the standard process (choosing to Restore from Backup, if offered the option):

First, erase it completely:

  1. Connect your Apple Watch to its Apple Magnetic Charging Cable.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
  3. Force Press Power Off and tap Erase all content and settings.

Upon receiving a replacement iPhone, restore it from its backup.

Then: Set up your Apple Watch again. When asked, restore from a backup.

Though you did not ask, here is what to do if your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen.
