I'm getting this on some photos in my library when exporting or dragging out of the browser. Exporting the original file works just fine. I also noticed that the photos I can't export normally won't change when I edit them inside Photos.
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
What is the format of the problematic photos? JPEGs? RAW?

Export errors can be caused by a library corruption. Have you tried to repair the Photos library? Quit Photos, Make a backup, and laugh the Library First Aid Tools by launching Photos with the key combination ⌥⌘ held down.
Is your Photos library on your system drive or on an external drive? Are you using iCloud Photo Library?
🙂If draggin photos from iphoto to desktop is not working, Try a different way.....This is what worked for me..Select the image you want, then go to File > Export > Export 1 File. after you follow the prompts place a folder or location where you want this image to save to. Hope this helps as it did for me. ℹ
So far I have only seen this with JPG files.
Library is on the main drive and not using iCloud. Might change that if Apple makes an Android client of Photos.
Repairing the library now, with 75.000 photos that might take a while. Will update this later.
Anyone getting "Unknown error (1,005)"?
